Steve Harvey took full responsibility for announcing the wrong Miss Universe, but many believe the mix-up was an intentional ploy to gain publicity.

Sunday was no doubt very emotional for Colombia’s Ariadna Gutierrez, who was erroneously declared as the winner of the Miss Universe pageant.
Moments later, host Steve Harvey announced Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach of the Philippines was the actual victor. 
Harvey took full responsibility for the gaffe, but many aren’t buying his explanation, as they believe the mix-up was planned for promotional purposes.
