Sepp Blatter and Michel Platini, the two most influential figures in world football, have just been barred from any football-related activities. For eight years, they can't have anything to do with the sport they've been running for decades. So says FIFA's ethics committee which found them guilty of abuse of power and unethical conduct. Is there any way that they can come back from this? Is Platini just collateral damage in FIFA’s drive to wipe the slate clean and change its image?
