When it is Sanjay Leela Bhansali you can get the most magnificent sets, the most extravagant arrangements and the most exquisite acting.
This is what Bajirao Mastani is all about. When one deals
with something as historical as the Peshwa one has to be very careful about how things are portrayed and SLB has done good justice to it.
The glamour, the glitz and the power surrounding the Peshwa has been well enacted by our own Ranveer Singh and the love quotient of his real and reel life Mastani played by Deepika has perhaps
brought out the best chemistry between the two.
Priyanka as Kashibai has worn at least 90 or more sarees and has essayed the role of the quintessential brave wife and one can only sit back and watch this extravaganza unfold as the movie continues. The songs are lavish , elaborate and expressive.
The three hour plus drama also portrays the other intricate matters in the Peshwa’s life, his skills, his leadership qualities and one only can relive the great fight for freedom and related kingdoms and the
pattern of annexures and able qualities of the king of those days.
We certainly are proud of Ranveer and his heroines and salute Sanjay Leela Bhansali for yet another landmark movie It deserves a four star rating.
