The lucky ones: A Syrian refugee family sees meaning to life again
  • 8 years ago
After a year and a half of living inside the Syrian civil war, Muhammad Aboushaar and his family fled their home in Damascus in 2012. Muhammad lived in Turkey for three years before he was approved to join his mother and younger siblings in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan. He now works at a company called TSS, making signs for car washes, and goes to community college at night.
