On December 6, Venezuela’s opposition overwhelmingly won elections to the country’s National Assembly, picking up a super majority in the legislative body. Members of the opposition are now threatening a massive backlash against government policies and programs, including plans to make sweeping changes in the Constitution and remove President Nicolas Maduro from office.
