ISLE OF MAN, UNITED KINGDOM — Thirty-five-year-old Emma Tapping, a mother of three from the U.K. has recently been called "disgusting" by netizens after sharing this photo on her Instagram page of her Christmas tree overflowing with presents.

The photo sparked a strong reaction from netizens, with many criticizing Tapping for showing off her wealth and missing the point of Christmas by only focusing only on the material things.

However, Tapping did not back down when faced with criticism. Instead, she reposted the photo of the tree covered in presents on her Instagram page and captioned it: "I LOVE spoiling my kids in the festive season and I work damn hard to make sure it is very bit as amazing as it can be."

Contrary to what others think, Tapping actually considers herself a thrifty shopper, and she maintains a blog called "Selfie Saver. My Money Saving Venture 2015", to share her ways of saving money. For example, in her blog post on May 3, 2015, she said saved a total of 460.67 pounds by shopping at various clearance sales and from getting free samples.

Well, some netizens said it's really up to Tapping how she should spend her money. Twitter user @lastcaress1972 said it's fine as long as she's not in debt or conning the benefits system. Others also agree that Tapping should be able to spend her money however she wants without being judged.
