Expedition To Shimshal Pass Trek

This is the most popular trek in the Shimshal valley to visit the main summer pastures of Shujerab and Shuwert. You can go up by one route and return by another. The Shimshal Pass is on the central Asian watershed.
This is 19 days trek from Islamabad toShimshall Pass and then back to Islamabad, allowing beginner to climber 3 or more summits around 6000m to climb from the Shimshal Pass, MungaligSar Peak 5931m (6050m) with ascent of 1480m and descent of 1480m in a day. One of the two other 5000m peaks are KuzSar and ZhuiSarwhich are also possible to climb in one day.

Shimshal is a village located in Gojal Tehsil of Hunza District, in the Gilgit–Baltistan region of Pakistan formerly known as Northern Areas of Pakistan. It lies at an altitude of 3,100 m above sea level and is the highest settlement in Hunza Valley of Pakistan. It is a border village that connects the Gilgit-Baltistan area of Pakistan with China. The total area of Shimshal is approximately 3,800 km2 and there are around two thousand inhabitants with a total of two hundred and forty households.
