An Israeli military court sentenced leftist Palestinian lawmaker Khalida Jarrar to 15 months in jail on Monday. Jarrar, 52 years old, was detained in her home in the West Bank city of Ramallah last April on charges of incitement to violence and membership in an illegal organization. In 2006 Jarrar was elected to the Palestinian Legislative Council for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and was pointed as the head of the Prisoners Committee.
