Brazil: Rousseff Calls for Defense of Legality and Democracy

In response to moves by the opposition to impeach her, Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff has called for the defense of legality and democracy. The lower house of Congress, the Chamber of Deputies, set up a commission to investigate the charges against Rousseff with a view toward impeachment. But she still has more than enough votes in both houses of Congress to defeat an impeachment attempt, although this could change as divisions are growing within the Democratic Movement, allied with Rousseff's Workers' Party. teleSUR
