ISIS video: footage released shows beheading of alleged Russian spy

RAQQA, SYRIA — ISIS has published a new video showing an unmasked man executing a Russian hostage believed to be 23-year-old Khasiev Magomid.
The video, titled “You shall be disappointed and humiliated, O Russians,” reportedly features a jihadist speaking Russian to the camera and voicing his displeasure with Russia’s interference in Syria. Russia commenced airstrikes in Syria in September in its effort to dismantle ISIS.
The hostage explains in the video that he entered ISIS territory in August 2014 and has been charged with gathering information about ISIS fighters.
The ISIS militant then issues a threat against Russia, saying “You will not find peace in your homes. We will kill your sons, for each son you killed here. And we will destroy your homes, for each home you destroyed here.”
The Russian government has not officially listed any of its citizens as being held by ISIS.
