Today we meet two small cannabis entrepreneurs who have spent 20 years experimenting with medical and therapeutic uses of the plant. Since 1986, Colombian law has allowed them to cultivate up to 20 plants, making it possible for them to develop and market a number of products. Now the government has introduced a new bill to regulate the cultivation and commercialization of marijuana for medical and scientific purposes. On one hand the small producers view the measure as positive, yet they fear that certain requirements will only benefit multinational companies and put small producers at a disadvantage. teleSUR
