Displacement, genocide and climate crimes - A laundry list - or a web of connected crises? This week's guest, Eric Mann, has been helping people’s movements make the links for decades now. He is founder and director of the Labor/Community Strategy Center in Los Angeles and the author of many books including L.A.’s Lethal Air, Taking on General Motors, Playbook for Progressives: the 16 Qualities of the Successful Organizer and Katrina's Legacy: White Racism and Black Reconstruction in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. He is host of KPFK/Pacifica’s Voices from the Frontlines. And then, in Ecuador, Laura speaks with Pedro Páez, that nation's former Finance Minister when they they did just about everything the international banks told them not to do: renegotiated loans, cut debt payment s and reinvested in the local economy. All that and a few words from Laura on learning from a 18th century African statue. teleSUR
