The Venezuelan government flatly denies accusations made against it in two different cases, citing false claims made by Lilian Tintori, the wife of opposition leader Leopoldo Lopez, that the government is trying to kill her. It’s highly possible, however, said Vice President, Jorge Arreaza, that such a plot exists within the opposition for the purpose of destabilizing the elections.
