One particular pooch in Texas seems intent on testing that notion—swallowing 10 hearing aid batteries earlier this month.
Described by his owner as "a bundle of energy and love," Boogie, a Yorkshire terrier-poodle mix, tore right through the packaging and swallowed them down.
Boogie's owners counted 10 batteries missing and the vexingly voracious canine was whisked away to a local animal hospital in Houston.
The batteries were safely removed and Boogie is said to be doing well.
