PRIMORSKY KRAI, RUSSIA — A Siberian tiger that lives at the Primorsky Safari park in the southeastern corner of Russia has befriended a goat that was supposed to be its prey, The Siberian Times reported. Amur the tiger gets fed live prey twice a day, but earlier this week a goat took over the caged enclosure. The zookeepers named the goat Timur, after a brave boy from a Communist-era children's book. After showing no fear, the tiger decided not to hunt Timor, and now he follows Amr around all day. The goat has even taken over the tiger's sheltered sleeping quarters, while Amur sleeps sleeps on the roof. One of the zookeepers told The Siberian Times: "We think that the goat never came across tigers and no one taught him to be scared of them. Amur the tiger is quite cautious by his nature decided not to go to the trouble of hunting Timur."
