Russian S-400 Advanced Air Defense System Now Active in Syria

The S-400 Triumf, also called the SA-21 Growler, is capable of detecting and destroying aircraft located up to 250 miles away from the system. The surface-to-air missile defence system can be loaded with at least three types of missiles, which can track 300 targets simultaneously and engage up to 80 different targets, including fighter jets and drones, cruise and ballistic missiles, and even certain types of stealth aircraft.
