Matura shtetërore ka dështuar plotësisht ndaj nevojiten modele si ato te Universiteteve Evropiane. Ky është qëndrimi i shkollave te larta publike veçanërisht pas skandalit te daljes se tezes se provimeve me zgjedhje. Kreu i Universitetit te Tiranes Dhori Kule duke përjashtuar rikthimin e konkurseve, i kërkon Ministrit te Arsimit aplikimin e modeleve te reja për pranimet ne Universitete. Sipas kules provimet e maturës duhet te jene si vite me pare, kusht për te marre shkollën e mesme. Ndërsa për pranimet ne Universitet kriteret duhet ti vendosin shkollat e larta. Ministria e Arsimit pranon se pika e dobët e maturës është administrimi i provimit. Duke e cilësuar skandalin një rast te veçuar, drejtues te ministrisë, shprehen se nuk do te ketë përsëritje te provimit ndërsa administratoret do te mbajnë përgjegjësi për abuzimet. Pas dy provimeve te maturës ku rezultatet e tyre u deklaruan si me te lartat e viteve te fundit, i treti ai i lendeve me zgjedhje u përfshi nga skandali.
