Shqiptaret paguajnë me shpesh ryshfet, se te gjitha vendet e tjera te rajonit, për te marre një shërbim me te mire.
Një studim i Institutit te Statistikave mbi shërbimet publike evidenton se Shqipëria ka pagesën mesatare me te ulet te ryshfetit prej 43 euro, ndërsa ne vend te pare renditet Maqedonia me mbi 1000 euro. Por ky tregues nuk është merite e administratës. Shqiptaret paguajnë pak por shpesh, çka do te thotë se vlera e ryshfetit ne total mund t'ia kaloje edhe vendeve te rajonit. Shërbimi mjekësor është evidentuar si sektori për te cilin shqiptaret paguajnë me shume. Me pas vijnë infermieret, ndërsa ne vend te trete janë policet. Sipas deklarimeve te qytetareve, ata paguajnë pasi vetëm ne këtë mënyrë marrin shërbimin e duhur. Duke iu referuar këtij studimi, korrupsioni ne Shqipëri renditet ne vend te dyte, pas problemit te papunësisë. Ndërsa shqetësimi tjetër i shqiptareve është varfëria, apo niveli i ulet i jetesës.
