John Landis, an American werewolf in Paris
  • 8 years ago
He wrote one of his most iconic movies when he was only 18. "An American werewolf in London" both horrified and amused us. With this and Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video amongst others, John Landis appealed to the darker side of the human psyche.
But there's more to him that just fright. In 1979 he co-wrote and directed "The Blues Brothers", starring John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd. At almost 30 million euros, it was one of the most expensive films ever made.
He's in France for the Amiens film festival which is paying tribute to his career. John Landis speaks to FRANCE 24's Eve Jackson.
