Washington DC: Activists Say TPP Only Protects Corporate Interests

A coalition of over 60 organizations gathered in Washington DC for three days of actions against the Trans Pacific Partnership in hopes of influencing Congress to withhold approval. For hundreds of activists, the TPP represents the protection of large corporations and completely ignores the interests of the people. They charge that the secret agreement only protects the profits and the property of the rich. The agricultural sector, and especially family farms, will be especially damaged by the Partnership, they say, as has been the case with prior free trade agreements. Bianca Perez reports from Washington DC for teleSUR.
