Mexico: At Least 8 Students Severely Injured
  • 8 years ago
Images recorded by students’ cell phones show how the Guerrero state police violently and indiscriminately attacked a group of roughly 150 Ayotzinapa students on Wednesday after they reportedly commandeered several buses and a gas tanker for use in a weekend commemorative march. The afternoon attack left at least eight students seriously wounded and hospitalized. One of the bus drivers commented on the degree of malice shown by the police this Wednesday, while supporters in the town of Tixtla see the attack as a heightened campaign to criminalize and repress the students.
