Venezuela: Maduro Addresses UN Human Rights Council
  • 8 years ago
Speaking at a meeting of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said that the election of his country to the 47-nation body is a manifestation of international support. He recalled that Venezuela has been constantly harassed by the United States for over two decades. Maduro noted that declassified documents detail the way in which the U.S. planned and financed the 2002 coup and coordinated international efforts to isolate Venezuela and justify the effort to overthrow the government. teleSUR
