Brazil Pledges Emissions Cuts, Development of Renewable Energy
  • 8 years ago
In runup to the world climate summit that will be held in Paris this month, Brazil promised to cut its carbon emissions 43% by the year 2030 and announced an expansion of renewable energy sources. A shortening of the rainy season means less reliance on hydro-electric energy.
