Paraguay: Cartes Seeks Effective Integration in Mercosur

President Horacio Cortes of Paraguay seeks a more effective integration into Mercosur, alleging that the Pacific Alliance formed by Chile, Peru, Colombia and Mexico has done better work. Cartes praised Chile, one of the biggest Paraguayan meat markets, for signing more than 60 free trade agreements. He said that Paraguay is the least expensive country for production in the entire region and hopes for greater cooperation among other Mercosur members. teleSUR
