Steelers stats: Pittsburgh top-five in rushing, Brown reaches 1,000 yards
  • 8 years ago
The Pittsburgh Steelers currently boast the league’s fifth-best rushing attack in terms of yards per game, but lead the league in both total yards and yards per carry. For good measure, they’re also tied for second with nine rushing touchdowns and lead the league with 13 runs of 20 or more yards.
This is despite Le’Veon Bell missing three full games.
Bell and DeAngelo Williams, for all intents and purposes, have been the lone ball carriers for the Steelers this season. Bell had been averaged 4.8 yards per carry prior to his injury, Williams is averaging 5.1 yards in his three starts. Brown has now gone over 1,000 yards in each of the past three seasons. In fact, the Brown’s current yardage total is actual six better than he had through nine games last season.
