Ecuador: Trial for Crimes Against Humanity Postponed
  • 8 years ago
The trial of military officials accused of crimes against humanity was postponed on Monday in Ecuador after one of the accused complained of health problems. The federal court failed to announce a new date for the trial. The former generals, colonels and a retired policeman will be tried for human rights violations including torture and sexual abuse against the ”Alfaro Vive ¡Carajo!” guerrilla group between 1985 and 1988. The events took place during the Leon Febres Cordero administration. teleSUR
