Brazil: Rescue Efforts Continue for Samarco Mining Workers

Two dams burst on Thursday, submerging 600 residents under a massive sea of mud in the small mining community of Bento. Five hundred people were rescued but hopes are fading for finding the 28 people still missing. Thirteen of them worked for the mine’s operator, Samarco Mining, and fifteen listed as relatives. Only two people have been confirmed dead so far but authorities expect that figure to rise. teleSUR
