Honduras: Campaign Hits Ban on Morning After Pill

Honduran women's organizations have launched an international campaign against the government's ban on the morning after pill. The ban, approved by congress in 2009, will be appealed to Inter-American courts. The argument in favor of the ban is that the morning after pill causes abortions, which has been refuted by the medical community. Honduras is the only country in the hemisphere that bans such emergency birth control and is number two in terms of teen pregnancies. Gerardo Torres reports from Tegucigalpa. teleSUR
