Massive Starless Planet Likely Home To Molten Storms

A massive starless planet named PSO J318.5-22 has been found to be a likely home to storms due to its approximately 1,500-degree-Fahrenheit surface temperature and clouds which are thought to contain molten metals.

A gigantic starless planet has been found to have a super-heated surface temperature and potentially stormy spots like Jupiter.
A team based in the U.K. made these discoveries after noticing that the brightness of PSO J318.5-22 could change by as much as a tenth with a span of hours.
They believe this variability could be related to storm activity which is likely exacerbated by a surface temperature of more than 1,500 degrees Fahrenheit and clouds composed of liquified metals.
