The European Space Agency has recently released a stunning false-color image of the 214-million-year-old Manicouagan Crater in Quebec, Canada which was taken on March 21st by the Sentinel-1A satellite.

The European Space Agency, or ESA, has released a stunning false-color image of the Manicouagan Crater in Quebec, Canada.
It shows terrain largely covered with aging vegetation which is marked by yellow and orange, and ice or other water form interspersed throughout in blue. 
The crater is believed to be one of the oldest on the planet, having likely been created from an asteroid that landed about 214 million years ago.
