The Proposal: Deleted Scenes

Deleted scene collections are usually comprised of filler beats and aimless exchanges. However, The Proposal serves up three cuts - a much-needed hint of affection between Craig T. Nelson and Mary Steenburgen, further explanation as to why Andrew left his hometown for New York, and a sweet visit between Andrew and former flame Gertrude -- that director Anne Fletcher should have kept in the final film. Ah well, at least optional commentary bits with Fletcher and Chiarelli help explain the reason each scene was left on the cutting room floor.
