Lives – Venezuela’s Children’s Orchestra on the Road Again

This week the Children’s Orchestra of Venezuela heads for Guarico, Falcon, and Lara to perform alongside regional orchestras, choirs and ensembles. The 302-member orchestra is one of the top orchestras of Venezuela’s National System of Youth and Children’s Orchestras and Choirs (The System), founded by Jose Antonio Abreu. The lives of the children who play in the orchestra are transformed as they master classical, religious and regional music, and their parents are proud of their accomplishments and enthusiastic about their commitment and love of music. teleSUR
