Colombia's left-wing Patriotic Union (UP) is holding a demonstration today to denounce what it calls the failure of electoral authorities to count its votes in last Sunday's elections. The UP charges that there are polling stations where its supporters cast ballots but the final tally indicates no UP votes. The Electoral Observation Mission reported that although violence was considerably down compared to the past, there were many reports of fraud and vote buying.
