In the playoffs Harvey is 2-0 with an ERA of 2.84. He worked on October 17th at home to the Cubs and allowed two earned runs and four hits in 7 /2/3rd innings in a 4-2 home victory.

The Kansas City Royals return to the World Series in back to back years. They lost to the San Francisco Giants last year. In the ALDS they survived a scare from the Houston Astros and rallied to win in a five game series. In the ALCS the Royals got past the power hitting Toronto Blue Jays in six games. Edinson Volquez is on the mound in Game 1 for Kansas City. Volquez is 1-2 in the playoffs with an ERA of 4.32. He has walked four batters in all three of his postseason stats. He last worked on October 21st at Toronto where he allowed five earned runs and three hits with four walks in five innings in a 7-1 road defeat.
