Throughout October, Venus, Mars and Jupiter have been moving closer together into a triangle-like alignment that's visible to the naked eye as the month draws to a close.

If you're not feeling motivated to get out of bed during the increasingly frigid and bleak mornings of autumn, NASA is offering an incentive. 
Those who wake up an hour before sunrise and look east can gaze upon a convergence of planets.
