Argentine: Macri Surpasses Poll Projections

Despite opinion polls showing ruling Front for Victory candidate Daniel Scioli with a comfortable six to 10 point advantage over his nearest rival neoliberal contender Mauricio Macri, with the results in, the difference between the two was just 2.5 percentage points. Renewal Front candidate Sergio Massa, who came in third, has not indicated who he will support in the November 22 run-off election, but some leading members of his coalition are calling for a vote for Scioli.
