You'll need red & cyan/green/yellow 3D glasses or a 3D TV/monitor to view this roller coaster video properly. Designed by William Cobb, this out & back wooden coaster was built in-house by the Frontier Construction Company. The coaster, built in 1978, was given the name Tornado after a real tornado hit Adventureland before its debut season in July 1974 forcing the opening of the park to be delayed until August of that year.
This Adventureland is located near Des Moines in Altoona, Iowa.
