Chile: Same-Sex Civil Unions to be Recognized

For the first time, as of Thursday Chile will recognize civil unions involving same-sex couples. The new regulations will allow inheritance and child custody rights, but not adoption. The agreement was promoted by the former presidential administration of Sebastian Pinera and implemented by current President Michele Bachelet. teleSUR
