A pair of identical twins in Washington state could be born months apart.

Their mother Holli Gorveatt gave birth to Link on September 29th, and doctors are hoping to deliver his brother Logan in another 15 weeks or so.

This unusual situation is the result of a rare complication called Twin-Twin Transfusion Syndrome where the babies share one placenta instead of each having his own.

This causes one baby to become bloated with too much blood while the other becomes anemic from a lack of it.

Because of a complication from the condition, which has a 90 percent fatality rate, doctors decided to deliver Link early at just 23 weeks.
