Authorities In Texas Seize $1.2 Million After Routine Traffic Stop

A Texas Highway Patrol trooper had some luck--or maybe a good tip--after a purported traffic violation led to the seizure of $1.2 million.

Most police traffic stops don't end with a million dollar payday.

But one in the Lone Star State recently did. 

A trooper with the Texas Department of Public Safety pulled over a man driving a Peterbilt tractor trailer on U.S. Route 281 South. 

The stop, allegedly for a traffic violation, occurred in Hidalgo County at around 6:45 a.m. on Monday, October 12th.
