Social networking giant Facebook and its popular messaging app WhatsApp have added support for 3D Touch, the new iOS 9 feature on iPhone 6S and 6S Plus.
3D Touch is essentially a derivative of the Force Touch technology used in Apple Watch.
Users can update status, upload existing photos and videos and take photos and videos for sharing on Facebook without opening the app by force tapping the Facebook icon on the homescreen.
According to WhatsApp, users can now quickly Peek and Pop into pictures, videos, links, contact cards, and locations they send and receive in chats.
