Controversial footage of shark pups being cut from captured mother's stomach

Shocking footage has emerged from a fishing vessel off the coast of Wellington, NZ, showing a caught shark being cut open, revealing 30 shark pups, many of whom are still alive.
The controversial video, which appears to show the shark having its fins removed, was filmed in October this year.
After the babies have been cut free from the mother shark's stomach, the fishermen kick them back into the ocean.
According to the filmer, they later fed on the mum's carcass.
