Cuba: Colombian Government Seeks to Amend Agreements on Justice
  • 9 years ago
The Colombian government has requested again to meet with the leaders of the FARC rebel group to finalize agreements on justice, including extradition, kidnapping and the selection of judges. The FARC, however, has said that the agreement on justice is closed. Their lead negotiator Ivan Marquez said that “the story of the creation of peace is written by fulfilling commitments.” Further development may be necessary, he said, but the substance and scope of the conceived system cannot be changed. teleSUR
