Pluto Has Blue Skies And Water Ice

Images and data recently transmitted to NASA by New Horizons reveal that Pluto appears to have blue skies and red-tinged water ice.

NASA’s New Horizons never ceases to amaze, nor does Pluto, which was recently studied at close range by the craft.

Images and data transmitted to the agency reveal that the dwarf planet appears to have blue skies and red-tinged water ice.

Color photos beamed back last week show a decidedly azure ring of haze around Pluto.

According to the experts at NASA, the comprising particles are more likely to be either red or grey.

The change in perceived hue is due to the way they scatter light.
In another significant find, NASA reports that "New Horizons has detected numerous small, exposed regions of water ice on Pluto."
