USA: Undocumented Workers Routinely Exploited
  • 9 years ago
Workers in the United States continue to face violations of their basic rights by employers. Those who try to fight for rights such as higher salaries and basic benefits are often fired by companies that do not respect their right to organize. Undocumented workers in the U.S. are exploited on the job, work long hours and may not receive proper compensation. Thousands of construction workers suffer physical injuries each year with no rights to medical care. Many seek membership in unions despite risks of being harassed and detained.
