Pending the Seahawks-Lions result in Monday night's primetime contest, the first quarter of the NFL season is officially in the books.
Some real surprise teams have emerged while some presumed contenders have fallen off significantly.
The Steelers are 2-2 despite not once fielding their full strength 2014 offensive roster and will weather the storm until the injured Ben Roethlisberger returns, which is where we begin the awards season:Most Valuable Player whose value is amplified by an extended absence - QB Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers.
