After Today’s Announcement, Google is Officially Named Alphabet, Inc.

Google is saying goodbye to its old name now that Alphabet, Inc. is officially listed at the Securities and Exchange Commission as an IPO company.
As previously announced last summer, Alphabet will become a conglomerate of a number of subsidiaries aside from Google, which include Google Life Sciences, Calico, Sidewalk Labs, Nest, Google Venture, and Google X.
On the other hand, Google that is under the leadership of Sundar Pichai will focus on products such as Search, Maps, YouTube, and Advertising.
Critics commented that the establishment of Alphabet and the separation of Google with regard to operations is actually a smart move, especially that Page is venturing into other projects such as health care, transportation, and artificial intelligence.
