French Guyana: Argentina Launches Satellite

Argentina launched ARSAT 2, its second telecommunications satellite on Wednesday from French Guyana. ARSAT-1 was sent up nearly a year ago when Argentina became the first Latin American nation to develop and launch a telecommunications satellite into orbit. The Argentine owned satellite company ARSAT said it hopes that this will be the start of a Latin American satellite industry. teleSUR
