Cuba Reaffirms Commitment to Relations with US

Cuban President Raul Castro met with Barack Obama yesterday, the first time on U.S. soil. After the meeting he reaffirmed Havana's commitment to building a new relationship with Washington based on mutual and sovereign respect and emphasized that full normalization would require lifting the U.S. blockade. Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez announced that next month Havana would present a resolution to the UN General Assembly condemning the blockade. teleSUR
