The Ecuadorean National Assembly paid homage on Tuesday to the Cuban 5, anti-terrorist fighters imprisoned in the U.S. following their arrest for monitoring the activities of violent extremist right-wing counter-revolutionary organizations in Miami, and Cuban military officer. The Cuban 5 will be honored along with Oscar Cardoso, a Cuban military official who spent 11 years in captivity in Somalia. They will remain in Ecuador with a program of activities until Sunday, when they travel to Bolivia. teleSUR
